hmmm...
That PG looks good but I am still trying to consider other colors too.
It's definately a cool looking PG on that strat.
So far I might like the black best.

Yes its true... I fell in love with the blues JR while recording.
I was using my brother's SRV Sig Strat (w/Texas specials) through it.
(My older brother is our lead vocalist/singer)
After that I bought one brand new. And I must say I love to use that amp when recording...
I am able to push the tubes by totally cranking the amp...
(15W or whatever isn't a sonic war zone to a microphone)
I have a mesa boogie dual rectifier half stack, & if I crank it out all the way...
It gets so loud it blisters & CRUSHES the mic. lol (especially when using a large diaphram mic)

The Blues JR is tube where as the Super Champ XD is solid state.
This is just my opinion, but I have never been an advocate of solid state amps.
I have played solid state amps getting what I call "tighter" crunch sounds
but they definately lack the "organic tone" I can get from tube amps.

With that said, you can get good sounds from just about anything really,
but I consider a good tube amp or 2 a necessity for electric guitar.

Check it out...

The recordings of me using the BluesJR have not been released yet.
But u can still listen to some older songs of ours...
(my 93 american strat through dual rectifier & a soldano tube amp in small parts)

Hi again my friend. Why it is always so difficult to choose ? And again, why can't i live in a country where i can try all these things and just choose what i like most ? Again i'm going to pick one of these two, without trying them, just what i watched in youtube and stuff. I was very lucky with my guitar.Hope i'm gonna be just as lucky with my amp ,too. I think i'm gonna go with the SCXD though. I think that together with it's footswitch, this would be the only thing i would carry to my gigs.If i got th B JR i should have to carry my zoom g7.1u, or some other pedals for additional sounds. And i'm really full of carrying. Thanks again for answering to all my questions man.

Just listened to your songs.I think "Future Alive" is my favourite. See you've got a Greek guy in your band. Great. I like "Here i come",too but it's too long ,too the same. No, "Future Alive" for sure my favourite. You can listen to some of my older stuff here http://www.musicwave.gr/petros It's a kind of Greek pop music played my way. Everything is played by me and recorder on Pro tools but without my strat. I used my old guitar, as these are recorded 1 year ago. Sorry but Greek lyrics !!!!! I've got a very good friend who's surname is also Papagellou and she is from Athens. Ask your friend, maybe they are relatives. It's a very small world we live in...

Pete & I went to highschool together so I have heard alot of greek vocals & some bouzouki too. :)
I don't know the names of your songs ( I can't read greek. lol) duhhh
Pete can though but I havent seen him for a few days now but i will soon...
Anyway, I liked the third song best (had a guitar solo in it)...
I am usually not attracted to ballads or softer songs.
...maybe thats why I liked the last song the most.
I hope that amp works well for you, staying light is a good idea for live.
Let me know how it goes! I plan to get pete listen to your stuff too.
