Hi everybody. I've got the 2008 MIA Std Strat in Sienna Sunburst with rosewood fretboard, and i think i'm going to get a red moto, or a red pearl pickguard for her. What do you think? Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance. It's more a beginning of a pickguard talk than just answering my question.

That is the exact same strat I am buying. Identical.
Mine is HSS, is yours?
I am also having trouble trying to get a good color idea for the pickguard.
I was asking in another post if it would look good blacked out?

Hi,

I've got the SSS configuration but doesn't matter, they are routed HSH, so I can change to yours and you to mine!!! You're gonna be very pleased when you get it, you'll see. The Sienna sunburst is like all the colours you've loved together in a mix that sometimes looks like honey, some others like tobacco, some others as fruit, i really can't explain. Maybe i sound stupid, but really i'm very proud of having a strat. For the money paid, i think we bought the best trip we could... Now for the colour of the pickguard, i really thing that the 05R and the 28R from here: http://www.pickguards.com/colors.htm would be great. If you go in this site click on the little eye next to the color code and you see a little preview of the pickguard in that colour. It's a pity that i can't buy them from Greece but maybe by searching i can find sth! My friend i'm really waiting for you to get yours and show us some photos. Ok i didn't send mine, but i really don't know how to :-( .... Keep on rockin' and greetings from Greece.

What? Post images in the forum?
How to post an image here:
http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... ode=bbcode

I right click on an image on the web & select properties.
Then I can see the url (address) to the image.

Then I use image tags like this:
Code:
[img]http://www.crjazz.com/gear/LeoFender.gif[/img]

The code above shows this below:

The wood in the body of your guitar is like the ones in the photo on the fender web site.
I can see the round spots in the wood grain. Very nice... Kinda wish mine was like that. lol
To do the actual pickguard in photoshop could take longer (harder to do).
If I can which photo do I use?
The 5R or the 28R from above?

Hi again,

This was really a nice piece of wood, and the best is that i didn't see it and picked it up ,but it came to me. I knew the sienna colour only by fenders web site. Here where i live, there is no guitar center with a big collection of guitars and stuff. You find sth on the web, you order it and that's it.You can change to sth else, only if what you get is defective.Never seen a SSB before i got mine. Guess i was lucky with that.I also like yours , which is more in stripes with this nice angle there in your arms place (hope you understand what i mean).Said it before but, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH A FENDER STRATOCASTER !!! Every single of them is unique and i love them all.Ok I love mine a little bit more.About the pickguards, i think that the 05r would be a little better as it is brighter. Not sure though. Thanks for asking and a huge thanks again for showing me how to publish photos.Greetings from Greece...

Hey, I have many greek friends here in florida. coolness.
So what do you think?

Click it for a larger image...
(I try to keep the images I post small so they aren't to wide
causing the graphics on the fender web site to break or whatever.)

G R E A T J O B !!!

Man you rule ! I also use photoshop but when i tried to do this, the two pictures were in different resolutions and stuff so the clone stamp wouldn't work and so on... BUT YOU DID IT AGAIN... AND I COULDN'T AGAIN !!!
Nice to hear you got greek friends there.Tell them you've got one over here ,too !!! So what do you think about the colour? I like the pickguard very much.Maybe it is a little too shinny for our guitar, but it's nice.Depends on how they are lighted ,too.Don't you think? If the body was also under heavy flash, maybe it would look better.Search at pickguards.com to see if you can find sth that would look also good and tell me.I read in another topic that you think the BJR is a great amp.Would you prefer this or the Super Champ XD? I like the great clean of the BJR , but i also love super champ for the flexibility and stuff.
Man Thanks again. Now i can really see how it would look like.Great job...
