Are these "Abby" initialed CS'69 PU's made by her or not?

On amazon.com and eBay there are some Custom Shop'69 pickups initialled "AY" on the back and I have been advised by a few people in the Fender Strat group on Facebook that they are just initialled by Abby but not actually wound by her...is this true?

Does anyone out there know the truth? Here is the website: http://www.twilightguitars.com/product- ... up-set.htm

Thanks in advance.

I KNOW SHE'S RETIRED!!!

You didn't even read the ad then -it says they are older stock!!

Still doesn't answer the question.

Yes, I did read the bottom of your post about English not being your mother tongue.
It should read "I make statements whether I know the answer or not and then pretend I don't understand"
That's more truthful.
I did not ask if Abby still works at Fender did I??
If you don't know, don't just type rubbish for the sake of typing like a TROLL.

I believe the initialed ones are built under her supervision. She signs the ones she builds.

dan999 is a troll, just ignore his posts...

In fact, I just added him to my "ignore" list so I don't have to read his obnoxious posts. :D

Anyways, right in the link it says:

"Here is what Fender say:

Wound, dated, and initialed by Abigail Ybarra."

I do not care what the link says. This has been talked about before.
The initialled ones are wound and checked under her supervision.
Ones personally wound by her will have "abby" and the full date and are quite a bit more expensive.
Having said that there are exceptions some with a written AY are wound by her and whose to say that in down time she did not wind some with the printed initials. These are exceptions though rather than the rule :D

+1

I bought a set with her initials a few years back, they were advertised as supervised by Abby. They are great pickups

The link says this:

Construction:
Just like the originals, these Fender pickups are built using height-staggered Alnico V magnets and a special gray bobbin. Each pickup is checked, dated, and initialed by none other than Fender Custom Shop master pickup-building legend, Abigail Ybarra, who has been winding pickups for Fender since the late 1950s.

Checked, dated, and initialed means she supervised the building.
