hi,
I would like to purchase these pickups that are sold as American standard 2009 pickups,
i am a newbie but when I compare photos they don't seem to match the description especially because they are beveled, can you tell me if these are fender pickups what model and if they are alnico 5 or any other details about them before I purchase?
thanks so much

Do you have a chance to post pics of them from the inside? I mean, both the back and the white covers removed, as well as an Ohm resistance reading with a multimeter. That'd help.

Need more photo-documentation and some measurements.

What color are the bobbins? Any markings on them? What color coil wire? What color insulation on the leads? What's the DCR of each pickup?

Your picture is not very good. They could be American Standard pickups, the pole stagger seems about right.
As far as you saying they are beveled poles, that is hard to tell from the picture but to my eyes they look like flat top's. The back of the pickups should be plastic w/ a part # for the bobbin in a square and should have some hand written data as well. The lead hot wires I believe should be colored blue/red and yellow with white ground wires. There are some variations that include hot bridge w/ 2 screws on the back of the bridge pickup between the pole pieces. The bobbin wire should be a standard copper color, no reddish tint.
Post a few more pics or take your chances.

I'm seeing a pretty exaggerated 45 degree bevel. The lighting kinda hides the bevel and makes it look like a shadow.

I think that's just poor lighting and angle Rich, I looked at my set and find the contrast between the shiny tops and the sides of the magnet are nearly the same. When you say exaggerated that tells me your just seeing more of the side.

That's a pretty clear bevel.
