Hi guys,

I recently changed the pickups of my Fender mexican stratocaster to Fender custom 69 pickups. After the whole change i noticed my neck pickup doesnt sound as 'warm' anymore, though my middle pick up actually does. So my first tought was that i accidentely switched the neck and middle ones but the 69 pickups all have the same values so i dont think it could be the order.
The whole issue isnt that troubling, cause my guitar still sounds a whole lot better than before, and i'm just using my middle pickup more to get the sound i want. But if someone might have a clue as to what the issue could be it would be much appreciated.

This was my first time changing pickups, and i also added a treble bleed while i was at it. Maybe i messed something up or forgot something but some insight would be helpfull before i open her up again.

I hope someone can help me out!

The CS 69 Strat pickups are a relatively tame set as far as output goes -- it's possible your original MIM pickups were wound hotter. You might try raising your neck pickup slightly to compensate for the perceived loss of gain. The treble-bleed circuit likely has nothing to do with the issue.

Thank you! I'll give that a shot and let you know what the result is.
