OK, I've had some time to get acquainted. This guitar is exactly what I was looking for. It holds a tuning very nicely, construction is solid, and it feels great.

These boast some great features, including GraphTech nut and saddle. It came ready to play - the stock strings were OK, but I was much happier after installing a set of D'Addarios.

I did do my own setup using feeler gauges. I didn't have to sand the saddle or nut at all, and it feel perfect now. Just had to get the neck relief where I wanted it.

The only thing I'm not crazy about is that I've managed to drain a couple of 9v batteries by bumping the tuner button on the fishman preamp. No big deal. Amazing guitar for the price. I highly recommend trying one.

Amazing looking guitar, awesome when you find one and just make a connection. I feel the same way about my Fender Montara.

thanks WI, yep there is a definite connection already. I seriously can't believe what a fine instrument it is.

I should mention, the unplugged sound is a little low and lacks some bass. That's just the character of the guitar and I don't see it as a bad thing, especially for late night jamming. And when you plug it in, the magic really happens.

Also, to put this into context, I bought this guitar because my 20 year old Martin is getting old and tired. I know what a high quality acoustic guitar feels and sounds like. This T Bucket is a high quality guitar for a staggering price. Thank you Fender!

Willie Nelson's 46 year old Martin "looks" tired...but sure does still sound good.

Yah; I'm digging the looks of that guitar. And being 'low resonant' unplugged wouldn't bother me a whole lot either...I have regular acoustics that do that job. This one's meant to be plugged in.

I got the same guitar for Christmas (early)...same color as well.

I immediately switched out the bridge pins from black to bone (personal preference and I already had them sitting around) to match the body and neck borders.

Out-of-box I had to lower the action (again, personal preference), and remove the strings, and HEAVILY oil the "far too dry" Rosewood (took 4 applications before it stopped absorbing).
I DID end up keeping the 80/20 Coated Bronze strings on it, and ordered a back-up set. That is extremely unusual for me (usually toss out the strings a guitar comes with, and put on my favorites) but this is my first electric-acoustic...so it's my first experience with these strings. For whatever reason, I think Fender finally got the match down between guitar and strings on this one.

They are bright, and chimey, and (to me) work real nice on an electric/acoustic cut-away. I would NOT choose these strings for a regular acoustic---not enough lows for booming.

Fender jacked the MIM Strat & Tele price up $100.00 because of the demand and overwhelming reviews on the quality...and I have no doubt, given time, if word gets out on this (Asian Made) guitar and people start buying and reviewing them...it will follow suit. So grab one now if you're interested.
