I believe the pickup or transducer might be faulty. It seems to be glued in so I cannot remove it. When I plug it into an amp I get no sound from the amp. I checked the battery, then took out the controls and checked the voltage to the circuit board. I also checked the connection to the plug and I have a good connection so either the pickup or the module with the Volume, Tone and Node is faulty or the pickup. Does anyone have a suggestion on what should be checked next or what might be causing the problem with getting sound through the amp. Guitar plays fine as an acoustic guitar and that is the only way I have used it so far.

Can you read any ohms from the transducer ?

Or the preamp is defective ?

I never work on this guitar

Any schematic ?

Apologies, but this just has to be asked: you have performed the "idiot tests", like that you plug the guitar in the input, the cord is not broken, the amp works with other guitars, etc..?

I have tried the idiot's tests. I have no problem with my electric guitar plugged into the same amp, with the same cord.
I don't have any schematics for the preamp. I have tried testing continuity between the leads that go to the transducer under the bridge but I am not sure I should be able to test the two cords and have continuity between them and since I cannot get the transducer out, I am just using a mirror to look at it. Leads look good but I have no idea how to test it.

I did check the ohm's between the two leads coming off the transducer and I do not see any continuity. Since I cannot get it out I cannot check at the connection points, only at the preamp. The connections are below the tone so it is hard to get to the point where it is soldered to the board but I am reasonably sure I was able to get on the correct lead. Should I have continuity between these two points? Does the lack of continuity indicate a faulty transducer?
