I am playing a Fender La Brea Acoustic Electric manufactured in the late 1980's. I do not have a user manual. I have always played it as an acoustic; recently I purchased a Fender amplifier so I am just getting it plugged in now.

It has three control knobs; "V" ; "T" and "N"

I assume the "V" is volume; and the "T" is either tone or treble; But does anyone know what the "N" knob controls or functions?

The people at the local music store have no idea.

Thanks for any suggestions that might be out there.

On Fishmans, "N" stands for "notch":
Quote:
NOTCH FILTER
This is a fixed level, variable-frequency filter for eliminating feedback or unwanted resonance. The affected frequency is variable from 40 to 500 Hz. The NOTCH FILTER is effectively off in the full counter-clockwise position.

Thanks ... Much appreciated.

Your answer is exactly correct. With the information you provided I was able to do some additional research about the guitar. And the "N" Notch control knob works perfectly as you describe.
