Looking for a good hard shell or well padded soft case for my new FR-55 Hawaiian resonator. I would like something more than a gig bag to protect it. I plan to keep it in my studio, not really travelling with it. Hopefully not too expensive either. Anybody got a recommendation?

Thanks in advance!

Is this a new model ?

Is it a biscuit bridge or a spider bridge , the specs / description do not say .

It kinda looks like a biscuit bridge.

To find a case , measure the lower bout , the upper bout , the thickness of the body and visit some music shops that have a good selection of cases , with your measurements , you may be able to find one . You could take the guitar there and try , that's what I did but was not able to get one that fit correctly that day , oh well , another day , another store ...........

I've got three resonators , a republic hwy 61 , which came with a case and two Dean resonators . One of my Dean's came with a crappy case that didn't fit well , so I'm eventually going to find one by looking around and measuring. If all else , fails a gig bag will work.

I hope you find one .

It's relatively new model but it's already been discontinued. I think it came out in 2012. MSRP of $1000 with a street price of 600-700. Cruising Ebay and Amazon I found a dealer closing them out for $300 and could not pass it up!

Not a whole lot of info on the guitar but it's very well made, not a flaw. Solid neck, great finish, heavy body. For a China made instrument, I'm very impressed. I believe it's a biscuit bridge.

Thanks for the suggestions. Fender states it will fit in their classical hardshell case, but I can't find one of those for less than $150.
