Does anyone really know what the difference is between standard and fractional 3/4 scale nylon strings? As far as I can tell from the specs, they are both of the same diameters, both of the same (apparent) construction, and both indicated for normal tension. I know that the 3/4 guitars will ultimately have a slightly lower tension on the strings for the same tuning, but are the strings really that different, or are they just shorter? All I can see in the manufacturer's info is that they are "optimised" for a shorter scale.
Thanks..

I *think* by optimised they just cut them shorter lengths. I have a 3/4 size Fender classical that I use as a parlor guitar. Some of the reviews that I read, said the neck wasn't wide enough to be a 'real' classical fretboard, but I love the neck and fretboard on it.
