I have tried searching for the serial (S00000402 Gemini iii) and everything, no luck. I would love to know how old it is and what it is/was worth. Is it a knock off? Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Here you go:

GEMINI SERIES (ACOUSTIC GUITARS IMPORTED FROM KOREA, DISTRIBUTED IN THE U.S. BY MIDCO)
MODEL YEARS MSRP MATERIALS
Gemini I (Classical) 1984-1988 $140 to $165 Spruce top, nato back and sides
Gemini II 1984-1987 $165 to $189 Spruce top, nato back and sides
Gemini IIE (Electric) 1987-1990 $240 to $260 Spruce top, nato back and sides
Gemini III (Black) 1987-1988 $199 to $209 Spruce top, mahogany back and sides
Gemini IV (White) 1987-1990 $220 to $240 Spruce top, mahogany back and sides

all found here:
http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... ct-dating/

The prices here are the original Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price, don't expect to be able to sell it for that now, it probably sold for about $150-175 at retail and Fender acoustics have never had any real collectibility. Though I could be wrong, I'm no expert just a guy who did a lot of digging trying to find similar info for an old Fender of mine a 1979 or '80 F-35.

Also I wouldn't worry about it being a knock-off. The knock-off artists typically only make copies of high end models.

You've probably got a perfectly fine beginners guitar though, assuming it plays well and has no real issues like a warped neck that is unfixable with a truss rod adjustment.

Cheers, hope that helped :)
