Hi

I have Fender CD 60 BK
and i was wondering if it's possible to lower a bit strings ?

With guitar i get "how to adjust the neck" instruction and the wrench
but i don't see any nut cover on headpiece

If there is no cover on the headstock, the truss rod nut is probably on the other end of the neck. Take a look in the soundhole to see if you can find it.

Keep in mind that truss rod adjustments are only part of a proper guitar setup. You may want to consider taking the guitar to a tech for a complete setup, which may include adjustments to the bridge saddle, the nut and perhaps even the frets. It's amazing how far this can go toward making the guitar more playable and comfortable.

Also remember that when adjusting the truss rod, be sure to turn it only a small amount at one time (I'd say between 1/8th and 1/4th turn, waiting at least an hour betwen turns) in order to avoid damaging the neck. The wait time in between turns will give the wood in the neck a chance to settle and adjust to its new position.

No, you don't need to remove the strings, though you may have to loosen the two middle strings to access the nut.

Here are a couple articles I found that may help you. I'm sure you can find a "how to" video on Youtube, as well.

http://www.fretnotguitarrepair.com/repa ... ss-rod.php

http://www.theguitarfiles.com/guitarfile97.html

http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/h ... uitar.html

Good luck, and don't worry! It's a pretty easy maintenance job, and so long as you don't turn the truss rod too much at one time, there's little chance of damaging the instrument.
