I recently purchased an Acoustasonic Strat from MF and it seemed to have one side of the bridge slightly lifted from the body of the guitar. I believed this to be a manufacturing error and I returned the guitar to MF for an exchange.

When I received the replacement guitar it also has the same apparent problem of the bridge lifting from the body of the guitar and in the exact same location as the previous guitar.

The lifting occurs at the rear of the bridge, just to the left of the #6 E string peg and behind the tone control knob. Is this a manufacturing error or a design feature?

Here is a picture of the lifted Bridge with pick inserted in the space between the brodge and the guitar body.

I had Sweetwater order mine after MF couldn't deliver. I waited over a year and finally got it in June 09.

I've been playing mine (along with my electrics) for over 6 months with 2 Exlir string changes.

After you posted your picture I took a look at mine - sure enough I have the same gap on the bridge by the E string.

I haven't noticed any problems and/or changes in tuning or string height.
I did make truss rod adjustments when I first received it but other than that the guitar plays beautiful.

Did you inquiry with Fender if this is indeed a trouble spot or defect with the guitar?

I see that Fender doesn't list or offer this model anymore.

Appreciate any findings you may have uncovered.
