Hey everyone a bit over two weeks ago I bought me my first acoustic, a Fender CD60CE "all mahogany". I was trying to find some info but not even Fender has it listed on their website. I found that it was a limited 2011 run so that makes me happy to own something somewhat rare. Here's the specs I found:

Body: solid mahogany top. Laminated nato back and sides.
Neck: nato. Rosewood fingerboard 20 frets.
Electronics: Fishman Isys III pre amp with chromatic tuner.
Die cast tuners, MOP rossette design, rosewood bridge, Fender coated 80/20 strings.
Anyone else here got one of these? I paid $269 and it included a hard case! I think it's a great deal and she sounds so nice too. That solid hog top sure makes a difference after I played the laminated CD60 back to back!
All I'd like to know is the production run and if possible how many were built. Oh yeah here's some pics! :)

Thanks! I was lucky enough to have the very last one at the store! I looked online and I got a few eBay hits and another site that apparently has a few in stock.

http://www.gelbmusic.com/p-2102-fender- ... ny-wc.aspx

Other than that link all I got was a few eBay hits and some dead links that list it as a FSR (Fender special run). I think anyone who runs into this at their Fender deal should pick it up! I would gladly pay $500 for this guitar but it's listed for less than $300. Killer deal!

Ok so Fender finally sent me a full spec sheet and approximate production numbers.
We apologize for the delay in responding to your inquiry,...we've been experiencing extremely heavy volumes of email traffic over the last few months, and unfortunately are a bit behind on responses as a result.

According to our records, CC110916201 dates to 11/2011, and corresponds with the guitar below. I don't have numbers on production,...but probably under 1000 units to date.

Cheers

Now here's what gets me. The guitar was marketed as having a solid top. The picture below shows the sticker it had on the pick guard. Is it possible the laminated top on the spec sheet is a misprint? Or did I get trolled?

Just got one of these models (manufacturer refurbished) in our store.. I really liked the way it played and felt so I became curious. I googled the model # and found this thread. I think your question about the top is answered by the ad on the Gelb Music page:

Fender Special Limited Run 2011 CD-60 CE with Solid Mahogany Top, Rosewood Fingerboard, Natural
The CD-60 dreadnought cutaway boasts features you’d expect on much more expensive instruments, with a solid mahogany top! This guitar surprised even us, and we expect future shipments to be a laminated top, so act fast. Our supply is very limited.

For the price it seems like a fine deal, solid top or not. And in all fairness, for a new acoustic priced at $200 to $300 you can't expect a whole lot.
