Hi,...first post. Can anyone tell me if it is ok to play an electric guitar through a Fender Acoustasonic SFX amplifier? I played my Epiphone Swingster with double humbuckers through it and it sounded fantastic,....but the DSP peak levels were lit constantly so I stopped playing for fear of burning out some circuitry. There was no distortion in the sound whatsoever. I'm thinking of hooking up some type of direct box or signal controller to decrease the output from my guitar into the Fender Acoustasonic SFX. This is the older amp,...not the new one that just came out. I also want to play my Stratocaster with single coil pickups through it. Has anyone tried playing an electric guitar and not just an acoustic guitar through the FenderAcoustasonic amps?,..thanks,..larry

I've never had a problem doing that. If your concern about the output of the guitar try turning down the volume on the guitar. That should address your concerns; hope that helps.
