Hey everyone. I have an acoustic/electric Kingman 10 and would like to learn more about amps that would work well with my guitar. Can you help? I also would like to get an amp that I can use with an electric guitar I hope to buy later this year. Any suggestions? I have been playing for about 18 months now. Thanks.

I haven't experimented with different amps as much as some of the guys here have, but I'll throw in my experience. I have a Fender Toronado & a Fender t-bucket (in siggy). I run both through a Princeton 65 amp & I love it. It can handle a wide range from clean and twangy to heavily distorted. I use pedals to achieve the distortion, though I know some use magic settings  I'm probably the least technical person, but hopefully others will jump in and offer a bit more variety to the answer. It can be done though :) Good luck

Hey there,

It depends on your budget I suppose. I got an FM65R a while back that makes a pretty decent electric amp and, due to someone posting in this forum saying it made a pretty sweet acoustic amp, I tried my Freshman 6 string and my echo 12 string through it.........I sold my marshall acoustic amp the next week.

It ain't the best Fender amp by a long shot but it's cheap, not too bulky and plenty loud for rehearsals and smaller gigs.

Wait and see who else posts though, there are some folks on here are well up on amps...I just do what I'm told....

This is great. Thanks to you both. I will add them to my list to checkout.
