A frozen Pipe broke and flooded my living room, so the carpet was up, and this woderful concrete floor was under it. Just hours before the new carpet was laid, my slide fell from the top of the stairs. I think my one of my kitties might have done it, but that's what I get for putting it at the top of the stairs. It was just going to be there for a second.

That's why I don't use glass or ceramic slides--that would happen without any help from pets or others.

As for the resonator--I haven't bought one yet--I hope to soon.
I've tried a Dobro--but it seems like Gibson has stopped making the model I want, and it was bit more than I have to spend.

I'm probably not getting the Fender one, as I've decided I like the biscuit better.

Those are probably two good calls.

I like the sound of the biscuit resophonics better, though they can have a bit of a problem with the string grip/pull warping or breaking the rather fragile maple saddles. It's a pretty obvious engineering problem if you look at it. I've been considering making a new experimental, low-mass biscuit out of channeled hardwood with an aircraft aluminum saddle for mine, but I have about fifty bench projects in line first. :?
