My wife is getting me a Washburn D10SCE Elec/Acoustic and I was wondering what strings ya'll prefer and if regular acoustic strings are good enough. Lately I have been using Ernie Ball acoustic 11s.

I like the D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 12's or 13's.

I always lower the action and go with an electric set of 10's on my A/E guitars.

+1. I tried it and it works. I have a cheap Yamaha acoustic with D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 13's and this summer after three years with the 13's, I stringed it with 10's electric and was very pleased with the results. I don't know what the next set of strings will be, but in the process, I discovered that I like to experiment different things with my gear.
