is this the Cd-60 that you name in your siggy?
because I have it and there's a dot inlay in the 3rd fret and the circles around the soundhole are not white!

nevertheless it's beautiful!

Yes it is the CD-60 I list. I got it from Musicians Friend a week ago today. I love the color too! 8)

The rings around the soundhole are a yellow/gold outlined by black. Might have been just the way my digital camera flashed on it

-Ovation is owned by the same gone-clomerate that owns Takamine. I forget the name, Kai or something like that.

Nice guitar though, I know where there is one for sale exactly like that for 300 bucks, in a hock shop where they dont know what they got. Ehehe!

Fender bought that conglomerate, Kaman Music Corp, in late 2007. They now own Ovation and Hamer Guitars and Genz Benz amps and distribution rights to Takamine.

They Did? Kaman, I was tying to rememeber that. They also own Hamer Guitars as well, I used ot have a Hamer USA Diablo, it was a fine american made guitar.

Well, that explains a lot of things then, looks like Fender swallowed up jackson as well, which is why my Jackson has the same tuning keys as my DG 22 CE

I know the date was real close to 1980..however fender says 1982.i know its Japanese made. But the neck is straight as an arrow and theres no bow on the top.Im having a dressing job done on frets and a new nut and bridge made up...over the years as the nut wore,I kept going with larger guages strings.......now shel be right after the luthier gets done.

Id like input on my guitar,I know it was a semicheap when I bought it,I couldnt afford a martin back then and this one looked like a great deal for the money. That was 30 years ago. Each time I carry it to a music shop I get the "hey,,,why dont you trade in that old guitar...we'll allow you $xxx against a new one"

Now im not a idiot...but offering me more than I paid makes me wonder if theres something about my guitar that I dont know....Do any of you have any input?
