Hi folks

I'm thinking of buying a new 12 string to replace my mid to late 70's Epiphone Bard, which is pretty much a lost cause. It needs a new bridge and i've been quoted the same price to get it fixed as it cost to buy, which is about £150($250-300). Having been on the Epi forum, it's never going to be worth anything cos it was a bargain basement guitar with a bolt-on neck(of all things), so i think i'd rather get a new one. Is a poverty-spec Fender 12 any good, or should i be looking elsewhere? I mostly play electric, so it wouldn't have to be the best guitar, just something i can enjoy sometimes.

Regards

Marge

If it's just gonna be something you'll pull out every once in awhile.... yes they are great.... I own one..... mostly stays in my closet... but when I do play it I have no complaints.

Hello,
I just ordered a Fender CD 160E 12 string from www.musiciansfriend.com.
It sells for $349.00. I don't know how good it is going to work but I trust Fender and also Musician's Friend. This 12 string is Acoustic/Electric with onboard tuner, Mahogany body, spruce top and Rosewood fingerboard. I am trying to find some more information about it ,but I haven't found anything yet. I think it is a good deal. You might want to consider it as an option.
