Hello all,
I have two Fender Acoustics, neither acutely expensive but nice pieces. One aged natural finish the other newer with black finish. Both have several autographs, some of legendary performers.
I am interested in preserving these. One suggestion I got from the Stew-Mac people doesn't help with the black model. I need something that I can put on them without smearing the signatures or making them run.
Any assistance would be most appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
:D

Hi. I know this post is from quite a while ago, but I'm new here and just saw it.

I have a MIJ Strat with an autograph and what I did was cover it with a permanent transparent classical guitar top protector. It was quite easy to find over here in Spain. They are called "golpeador". They are just like a pickguard for an acoustic, but not as thick.

I've had it for about three years and the autograph is still perfect. No smudges or anything. HTH.
