Hello,
first post here, I hope I picked the right sub-forum...

I am looking to adjust my acoustic bass' (Fender's Bg-32) intonation.
The E string isn't tuned correctly on the 12th fret. The harmonic is allright but the fretted note is sharper than it should... The problem is really less accute on the A-D-G strings.

I read, by searching on various forums, that changing the string gauge would maybe do it,
but I was wondering if its possible to adjust the saddle (and therefore the string lenght) by sanding the saddle diagonaly or whatever where the string rests... I do not necessary plan to do it by myself and was thinking about going to a luthier if I get the confirmation it can be done.

I am also wondering if, after adjusting it, its possible to replace the saddle in the future in case another set of strings doesn't have the same intonation.

I hope my questions make sense and apologize for my clumsy English writting skills and overall noobness in case they don't : )

Thanks !
