I went to guitar center today and found that Planet Waves and Martin bridge pins were both too small for my 2009 Sonoran SCE Custom. Both sets of pins were too narrow at the head, and tapers too much at the bottom! Has any one replaced their plastic pins in this guitar, and if so what pins did you have success with? Thanks in advance!

I also broke a bridge pin on my sonoran and was wondering what bridge pin size to buy. I tried using what I had around the house (pins from an epiphone and rogue). They were too large.

Could either of you post a picture of your bridge pins out of the guitar? I have an idea of what might work, but I need to see if your pins match the ones I had in my guitar.

I've not tried them but Graphtech makes tusq pins in a couple of sizes. You might try there as a starting point.

Cheers,
