Has anyone found a hard case that works with the Victor Bailey Acoustic 4 string bass? I've called all the local shops and none seem to have anything they'd recommend using for the bass. One guy told me the TKL cases that they use for Ibanez acoustic basses might work, but my gut says it would be too thick since the Victor Bailey bass has a slim body.

Any ideas or thoughts? I don't like the feel of the gig bag that came with the bass and would like to get something that provides more protection.

I just went and tried a TKL case and found our first hand they won't work with the instrument. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe a better gig bag suggestion? I can't seem to find anything that works for this bass besides the flimsy, no pad having, cheap one that came with it.

I had the same problem but got one from Stagg. Here is the model- Stagg GCA-AB Acoustic Bass Case - I got it from Amazon, not expensive, about £45. It is a bit too deep so you have to pad out with dusters under the body but does the job. I had the same problem with my Fender BG29 acoustic bass and can't get a hard case but at least that gig bag is better. What a fantastic bass the Victor Bailey Acoustic is ! Glynn

Thanks for the reply! I actually ended up going with a Levy's acoustic bass gig bag. It's really padded and I feel more comfortable taking the bass on the road with me now.

I'll take a look at your recommendation for a hard case option. And I have to agree, this bass is a joy to play. I find myself playing this bass more often than my '62 Jazz at the moment, but I'm sure it's just the "new" toy factor.
