First of all sorry for my english, i´m from Costa Rica. I just bought a Fender F-130 it´s electracoustic and it came with steel strings and as i´m just learning many people have told that i should change the strings for Nylon; that it would be easier for me to learn with those strings. I would like to know if that is right; and if so, if that change will cause a negative effect on my guitar sound quality or performance. Thank you

I would not switch to nylon string. If anything I would switch from the stock 12s to 11s or 10s but I'd stay with the Phosphor Bronze strings. If its a case of toughening up you fingers, they will toughen up just keep practicing and have fun.

I agree with keeping them as they are maybe going down a size. You will build callouses and finger strength alot faster. As far as actually changing them to nylon I'm not sure if the nut would be big enough so you would have to change it also to prevent buzzing.
