I just repaired a dreadnaught acoustic guitar that had fallen, and the neck cracked up near the headstock in the typical V-shaped crack. It was almost all the way thru, but the fretboard kept it from completely severring. I did a good repair on it(I beleive), but want it to last. I am interested in finding out what strings exert the least amount of string tension. I want to use phosphor bronze strings, and a lighter guage. How can I find out which brand and gauge are the best for this repaired guitar??
