Got this for Fathers Day in Transparent Blue. A great guitar at an unbelieveable price.
Have a question about the strings & action: This is my first acoustic as all I play are Strats. My Strats are set up with a very low action where the T Bucket feels high to me. Also I'm used to 10's & this has 11's. If I change to 10's will it effect the tone? anyone try this or how about any different strings. I notice I squeal with the chord changes from the friction & wonder if the phosphor strings exaggerate this. Appreciate your help. Rock On!

Hey Stratrocs congrats on the T Bucket. You may want to stay with the 11's to avoid having the neck reset for anything smaller to avoid neckwarping. Most acoustics will have higher action than an electric but it can be lowered by removing the little shim from underneath the saddle. If it doesn't have it you can carefully file the saddle down or better yet buy another saddle and file it down to lower the action. As for the squeeks on chord changes that is just part of playing an acoustic. Try some coated Titanium by Ernie Ball light guage i think is 11-52. The strings feel more bendable and no squeeks. Just remember if you lower the action by filing the saddle don't do too much and be sure to keep it level. If you do decide to go smaller on the strings it will result in a smaller sound. Good Luck with it and let us know how things turn out.

Thanks 6Twang. That was really helpful. I'll try the new strings this weekend. Really appreciate that. :D

No problem. Also remember phosphor bronze will have a warm tone while 80/20 is bright and sometime tinny until they wear in a bit.
