I have a DG-22CE SB, and love the way it sounds and plays. The back and sides are flame maple, and the top looks like spruce, but I haven't been able to find out for sure. Does anyone here know what they used for this model? Also, how would I find out whether it was solid or laminate?

Welcome JWitmer can you post a picture of it? We can all look and tell what it is. There is a good chance if it is maple back and sides it will have a maple top also. Usually if one has a spruce top it will have rosewood or mahogany back and sides unless it is a high end guitar or a jumbo.

It's a beauty but i is kinda hard to tell the true wood with it having the vintage sunburst. But when you can see the grain in the top like that and can feel with a light touch with your fingers the raised grain more than likely it is a solid top or a very good laminate. You have a nice guitar there. Enjoy it and take good care of it. :D

Hello JWitmer,

Solid sprce top, solid maple sided and back.
Nice figuring on yours I see through the soundhole
& on the sides. Looks like a nice player.
