I have a 2006 Kingman SCE. The guitar has never left my home after purchasing it in December 2006. Last night I noticed that the finish on the top has darkened over the last couple of days. The guitar sits in my living room on a stand. I live in northwest Ohio and I have not had the air conditioning in my house on. Does anyone have any reasons or suggestions for this happening? This model Kingman has a sitka spruce front, mahogany back and laminated sides.

The darkening is normal for solid top guitars. Since it is 4 years old now it should be a little darker than when you got it. You my want to check for any bows in the top or in the neck though just to be safe. Some times wood will change color when there's too much humidity in the air. If that is the case a de-humidifier will solve your problems. Also any silicone based cleaners or polishes will cause the wood to darken and fade the gloss on one so be carefull of that.
