I'm thinking of getting a multi effects unit to use with my acoustic so i can get a more edgy sound with some rock songs that i play. Does anyone have an idea of how this would work? Would i get too much feedback or will it just not sound good at all. I have reverb and chorus on my amp i want to add some flanger and maybe a little overdrive to pull the sustain out a little more. Anyone ever experiment with this?

I just checked it out. I've heard of Monte Montgomery but this was the first time hearing him. This is exactly what i'm looking for :D

Dark i took a look at the boss pedal but thats more for enhancing the acoustics. I'm looking to put some squeal and bite on it but through an acoustic amp and guitar. I'm hoping to save myself from needing to buy another amp and guitar for the harder stuff i play. Thanks for you r help though. :)
