So I'm looking to get a new acoustic and to start seriously playing(I'm left handed, my current one is a restrung right handed). I was wondering how the two listened in the title would treat me :) . Also any tips for playing would be amazing too :D . I would end up playing mainly acoustic rock stuff if that helps.

I play bass I know very little about acoustic.

Thanks!
David

G'day, I purchased a brand new Fender CD100 and for a Fender Acoustic made in China it is awesome. I've found mine to be very evenly crisp across the fretboard.

I paid $349 AU for it and I have used it playing festivals etc to have the sound engineer's giving positive feedback on it.

Goodluck.

I haven't tried any that you have listed but i have played the cd220e. It's a solid top that sounds great. I compared it to a Takamine G series334ce which costed a couple hundred more and there wasn't much difference in the sound or playability. I'm sure being a lefty as i am will prove finding one a difficult task. Good luck with your search and welcome to the forum :)

I would go for CD 140s or CD220s as our friend obove mentioned it.
Why???
Just because they have solid top...

If you like a very warm sounding try the DG100 with solid top as well....

If you don't care about solid top go for CD60. The sunburst is gorgeous.

and practice, practice and practice......

Thanks :) I might try to make a trip to my bigger guitar stores soon and see what the CD140 and the others have to offer.
