I am in the process of buying a real sweet sounding / playing Malibu GCE, but it does not come with a case. There are some online music sites that say they're available from them and the case only fits the Malibu due to the smaller body size.
Come on, FENDER...why can't I get it from y'all?
Note there were two Malibu GCE guitars @ this store...the first one I tried wasn't that great and when I tried the second...$OLD!!! The owner even told me as he handed me the second guitar that this one was the best, and he was right!!!

HI,
Cant the musis store that you bought it from get a case that fits for you? If not just search online, there are a bunch of sites that have guitar cases.
Guitar Center, Musicians Friend, Sam Ash etc.

good luck and congrats on the new guitar!

Bill

You meant SCE right?? Fender DOES make a case for it, you are right, and its available at ActiveMusician.com for $110. BUT it fits nicely in any classical guitar case.

What strings are you using in yours?

You'tr right...it is SCE. GCE is a Yale Cross Sectional key blank...but that's from another life.
I shall attribute this case business to "internet of the brain". Paid off the guitar today and Steve @ International Vintage Guitars, here in N'awlins told me although he did not stock the case for the Malibu, he could order me one.
After checking with his distributor, he quoted me $105.00 and that will work.
By the look of it, all/most Fender acoustics come with D'Addario EXP26 coated strings...that's 11's.
I'm getting Steve to put on D'Addario 10's. Unfortunately, he only had the uncoated strings. I can get the EXP15's...the coated 10's, later.

Hey arabi_refugee

I just got a REALLY nice soft gig case off ebay - I think you are looking for hard, but It was the Skinz case made for a hollow bodied ELECTRIC - and it fits beautifully. Was last years model being blown out for around $35 WITH shipping and its one of the nicest soft cases Ive ever seen.

PM me if you want a link to the auction holder.
