Does anyone know the history of how the "Kingman" acoustic got it's name?

Looks like it was originally called the "Fender King" in '63 and later renamed the "Kingman" in '66...discontinued shortly after

I love Fender Acoustics...It's a shame so many out there give them a bad rap....gotta love those electric style headstocks!

The King(man) was part of Fenders acoustic series, but just like the Coronado it failed.
