Well, Fender fans, I just bought a new Fender Sonoran SCE Custom in Shoreline Gold.

Don't think I've ever seen an acoustic/electric that looked like her before...

I will post some pics later this evening....

Very nice--congrats. Am curious about it, since it is part of the Kickoff 2009 contest.

This is fighting back - but I will try again. At long last, some pictures of my Shoreline Gold beauty. I see they have discontinued the color - the firemist silver is lovely but I think I like my gold.
She plays like a dream - great voicing. Maybe could use a little more bottom - but you won't hear me complain...

And the fact that the neck is exactly like my Strat makes playing a dream.

like I said in the other post, it's a beautiful guitar!!!
I really like the finish!!! the only thing that bums me are the tuning keys... they should've been chrome!!! they look like plastic ones...

congrats!

Those photos are cool, those guitars are very similar to my Montara, Fender must have realized there was really something to this style.

The only downside I had with my Montara was that the battery was only accessible through the soundhole, that was a pain. But the electronics died and the replacement that fit the hole in the body was a Dean. Once that was installed, and a bone nut/saddle were installed the sound on this was hugely improved both plugged and unplugged.

Those come in a nice color variety too. 8)

They fixed that problem, the battery is accessible from outside now...

I see that, very cool. Little things like that make a HUGE difference.

Set up was comfortably low. and yes, the finish would stand up to gigging - seems very durable.
