Hey guys, I was at a pawn shop a couple weeks ago and I saw a 35 year old Fender Acoustic. It's pretty banged up and the truss rod cover is missing. Plays nice and they are selling it for 250 bucks. Just wondering, how much is the estimated price for this acoustic? Should I get it or should I pass? :? :D

It does have a truss rod, just no truss rod cover. It's a vintage instrument. It's worth more than 250 bucks! Duh! It''s the guy at the pawn shop that deosn't know the price of it being a vintage instrument.

I own 40 guitars. 7 of them are acoustic. I'm just wondering who can tell me the price of this instrument. Thanks to anyone who responds. :)

It may be worth $250.00. The Harmony Guitar company used to make the old acoustics for Fender. I don't know if they made that one though. I don't think it's worth thousands . Look on Ebay and see what they are going for. It will give you an idea
of what it's worth.

Harmony made guitars for Fender, but the were a lower line product. They were sold as Regal or Regal for Fender. These were not the Fender acoustics such as Concert, Kingman, Villager, Shendoah, and a few more models. This was after the real Regal guitar company was out of business and Fender was just using this name.

Just because it's a vintage instrument doesn't mean it's worth a lot.

I have a 1965 Gibson acoustic, and it's only worth about $400.

Mine's probably worth less in the condition it's in.

Is it a vintage, American-made guitar, or Asian? Asian Epiphone acoustics are pretty nice, but they're still not worth very much.

Fender acoustics do not bring in the big vintage dollars like their electrics do. Best bet to check ebay and see what they're going for.
