Can anyone tell me which current guitar replaced the DG-21S? I'm new to the guitar world, and was told this guitar was a good place to start with as far as acoustics are concerned. Thanks!

A good recommendation; I always liked the DG-21S! That model is your basic full-size dreadnought with a solid spruce top, laminated mahogany back & sides, and a gloss finish. Having a solid top is an important decision in choosing an acoustic because it will have an effect on the tone and will usually sound even better over time. You can also look for added features like a built-in pickup or cutaway design. Most importantly, listen to the tone and get the opinion of others to help decide!

The closest Fender these days is in the Fender Classic Design series, model CD-140S. Definitely a great place to start!
