how much money are you willing to pay?
Fender is not famous for its acoustics, but they're very solid and decent guitars!!!

I have a Simon and Patrick guitar (they're a Canadian company, so I'm not sure they're available everywhere) that I really like.

I'm of the opinion that, on an acoustic guitar, the brand isn't as important as the wood. Definately make sure to get a guitar with a solid wood top and solid back and sides are preferrable.

I have to agree that most of Fender's Acoustic's line arn't the best. Out of my top two least favorite guitar's my Fender Classical, comes in last next to my 100$ Yamaha the first guitar I owned at 13 Years of age.

Don't get me wrong my Stratocaster is my favorite guitar Fender guitar in the Electric Section, next to the beautiful Telecaster. Fender Electric's are and will always be my favorite.

If you want a nice acoustic guitar. I will tell you go with Takamine. Even top brands use fake wood. This brand uses alot of real wood that gives a nice tone, if you add some nice strings with it. When I got my mine the action was extremly low, and suprisingly loud, but kept that nice smooth feeling.

In my opinion Takamine does the best in the Acoustic section, just keep with solid wood, no laminates if you can. There prices are, unlike Gibson extremely reasonable which is why my reccomendation goes with Takamine.

Hopefully you had the time to read my "Quick Post," when I recieved my 3rd acoustic guitar I never knew that brand would be my favorite after all my previously owned guitars. My father is also a musician. So I had a huge lineup of guitars, even his Gibson in my opinion isn't as good as a Takamine.

There you go,

Zippo

I just went through the task of picking out an acoustic. I decided the taylor 214 ce was what I wanted but I had to wait for a really good price. I had enough to get it finally and went looking for one last time. I found a fender kingman on moving sale and tried it out. The strat headstock is nice looking and I love tuning inline easier. For the money difference, between the taylor and the fender kingman, I was able to get a mexi tele deluxe blackout and super champ xd amp when they went on clearance sale.

I play in worship and have been using a used telecoustic. It sounds really small on it's own but awsome plugged in. It feels like an electric as far as the neck goes. The kingman is more like the other acoustics but very comfortable for me to play. The taylor feels better for my hands but then I can hold a bunch more cash in my hands while I play the kingman....

Only odd thing about the kingman is the strap button where the plug goes in is HUGE so I have to use cable ties to secure the strap, one around the button and another from the first to the strap.
