well, my opinion is Martins are 100 times better, but thats me. How much are you willing to spend? A nice martin is about $700, takamines are lower than that i think.

Hello: I have a Fender Sonoran Ford logo guitar - and it is a beauty - both to play and display - action was fantastic right out of the box - hold tune well and is a top quality guitar. If all the other Sonoran are the same you cant go wrong I dont think.

I recently became the owner of a Ford logo Sonoran, does anyone really know how many were made, I've found some info online and a site that was selling them but is out of stock... Looking for other owners and how they got a hold of theirs, date, price, anything, just more info, love the guitar tho!

Hi, I have got a Sonoran SEC Candy Apple Red with a peral pick gaurd. I love the sound weather it is in my amp or not. The heaed stock is eay to use the neck is just like my strat. I tried a takamine did not like the sound, and through the martins are nice they are a little more pricey for me. The only downer is that I can not find a hard case that fits correctly. Most of them are to big in the body and the guitar moves to much for my liking. This maybe becuase I live in New Zealand & no one imports the right ones. Dave I am a Ford fan, can you post a pic for your Sonoran on the forum for me to look at. thanks John

I also copped that Candy apple red!! I fkn LOVE IT!
Very versitile & quite thick, The action is a tad bit strong, But it's great for rythmic accoustic abuse!!!

Hi everybody, I'm new here! I too have the Candy Apple Red Sonoran SCE Custom, and I love it! Better tone than many guitars costing 2-3 times as much, plus I like the feel of a Srat neck as well! :D I was wondering if anyone has found a snug fitting hard case for their's, that also alows for the longer headstock?! I have a soft sided case now,but the guitar JUST fits it with a 42" overall length ! Jam on people!

Try a 12 string case.
