Hey, I need help deciding between the Malibu and the Kingman. From the internet they seem to be almost the same guitar. Any help would be great!
Thanks. :D

I haven't tried any of those guitars so I can't tell you much :?
the best thing you could do is to go to your local music store and try them both. They both seem to be good guitars but you have to try them to see which one suits you best

hi everyone......i'm prety impressed with both the Kingman & Malibu....
the main difference between the two, the body size.
the Malibu has a smaller folk body & the Kingman has the larger drednaught body.
i had a hard time picking between the two until i played them. i chose the Kingman......sounded better unplugged to me. but that's just me.....their both great guitars.....i was drawn to the Malibu because of it's looks at first, now i'm glad i chose the Kingman.........LOVE IT!
i play mostly blues & jazz....a litle country and this Kingsman is great!

happy pickin'

Hey all,

I went the opposite direction to Phillipw- I tried the Kingsman and was very impressed but the Malibu felt so much more comfortable.
I believe it has a slightly shorter scale, which would explain why it feels so good in my smallish hands.
The Kingsman does have a richer unplugged tone though, due to it's dreadnought sized body.
The build quality of both is excellent - while I was in the shop I compared them to several others including Ibanez and Takamine and they were head and shoulders above them!

So yeah, I took the Malibu home - excellent, compact, great looking, great sounding guitar with a top quality preamp for a very good price.
