The CD-60 I've had for about three years has proven to have some really bad tuning machines. Three of them were not moving smoothly for the past year while last week one of those three broke internally. Can't seem to find replacement tuning machines on either the Fender site or Amazon. Any recommendations other than OEM and where to purchase? Thanks.

Gotohs are probably IMO, the best replacement tuners for any fender acoustic . I do believe that Stew Mac sells them and you can also get them on E-Bay, Guitar center, etc.

Thanks for the tips. Since I did not spend a lot of money on this guitar I thought it best to not spend more on new tuning machines than I did on the guitar. Got lucky that the local music store had the same type of low rent tuners for a reasonable price of 20 mil colones for the set of 6! Yep, I live in Costa Rica.

I must have gotten a good one (CD-60) in 2013 then, because my tuners have always been really nice.
Not even sure what year they discontinued the original CD-60...now you only see CD-60S & CD-60SCE (new).

Any 'decent' tuner of the proper height and hole diameter will work. A good site is http://www.guitarfetish.com because when you click on any given set of tuners (3Lx3R for that guitar), there is always a photo of the dimensions of the entire tuner & key. Measure your current tuners, and match them up with what you wanna buy. Most of their quality sets are under $30 (US).
