Recently I've been looking after my friends electric acoustic and I thought I'd do some research but I couldn't find anything on this apparent £200+ Fender guitar.

It has a model number inside which reads DG60CE BLK
and the S/N CCXXXXXXXXX

It's a 6 string with 21 Frets and dot inlays.

Hope someone can enlighten me on this mythical instrument I'm in possession of.

The "CC" stands for 'Crafted in China'. Couldn't find an electric/acoustic on eBay, but I found a few regular acoustics...most seem to have been manufactured between 2014 and 2016 (of those for sale). The first two numbers after the CC in the serial number will tell you when that one was manufactured.

DG models come and go, and the value never seems to climb, even when discontinued.

Probably not what you were hope'n to hear, but that's what I have for you. Just enjoy the guitar.
