Does anyone have any experience with these guitars?

I'm considering buying one...but I've heard good and bad about them...

I'm considering either a Malibu SCE or a Martin DCX1KE.

i say don't buy the Malibu and buy the kingman. its a step up from it and it is a standard size not a small like 3/4 size. but thats just me. Guitar World or something like that said the kingman is far better so I'd go with that. I have a kingman and it is one of the best buys I've made so far.

Hope this helps

Hello: The case is made by Fender - brand new - has the Fender logo on the front - black in color - with keys - never been used - I bought this case because the dealer here said it would fit my Malibu Sonoran, which of course it dosent - they are incredibly hard to get from fender, I ordered a case for my acoustic bass five months ago and still dont have it - again $100 dollars + shipping

um david that post is borderline spam, so be careful.
:?

I have tried a Malibu at my shop (at last!) and got to do lots of stuff with it. It's a pretty guitar (I tried the natural with gold pickguard, wanna see the SB in person) but it's definately lacking in quality (finish isn't great, but good enough, hardware looks just a little cheap, the sound is a bit thin, laminated sides rather than solid sides which I prefer just for the piece of mind, abut other than all that you won't be missing much).

For the same price as the Malibu may I suggest an Alvarez guitar? They are very good quality and twice as good in sound, plus they sually come with a very nice wooden hardshell case for free. They project very well and they're cheap. very good value for money. I mean the only reason that the cheaper ones are cheaper is that they have missing aesthetic touces like a pearloid logo, plastic nut and saddle pins, plastic binding rather than wood or ivory, etc. (you can get all of that in slightly more expensive models like their artist series or fusion series).

:( I would really love seeing Fender revamp their acoustic line and give us some really good quality guitars, but until then I'd go thatt route.
