I have the cd60ce. The nut is explained as nubone, are the bridge pins nubone or plastic? Does Fender make non plastic bridge pins and do they improve the sound vs plastic pins?

It depends if you have right hand bridge pins or left hand bridge pins.

I use left handed strings, so lefty pins are used too.
Thanks.

AFAIK Fender pins are plastic.
But you can choose any brand, any material pins for replacing the originals.
The sound effect is a topic for an endless debate. Try replacing just three pins like E/D/B, leave the stock pins for A/G/e, see which you prefer if you notice any difference.

Leftie pins... gee.

I have a CD-60 (not electric), and the original pins are plastic. I swapped out for synthetic bone (just for my personal eye appeal), and noticed absolutely no difference in sound.
