Perhaps Fender's answer to that is the newer Acoustic Pro/SFX amps.

I like the look of these:

White Dog, let us know how that new Acoustic amp works out.. (After Christmas -- wink wink..)
Ok, here goes.
It's going horribly thus far. I can't completely knock the Acoustic A1000 yet, because there are some good/great things about the amp that I really like. But here's what my experience has been so far.

Ordered it from a popular gear site.

Amp #1: There are two FX display windows on the amp. One for channels 1 & 2, one for channels 3 & 4...the 1 & 2 window didn't light up most of the time, and was unreadable---$500.00 amp, a guy's not out of line to expect EVERYTHING to work, so sent it back for a replacement.

Amp #2: Pulled it out of the box, plugged it in, immediate hum/buzz (not good on any amp, much less an acoustic/electric amp). Shut off all possible home electrical interferences and tried 4 different outlets in 4 different rooms connected to 4 different breakers, and hum/buzz did not go away (both displays worked though, LOL)...messed around with knobs (no instrument plugged in), and found that turning all knobs on 1 & 2 up, and at about half way the "Frequency" knob will cause a squeal that'll make your hair stand up (bad solder perhaps), boxed it back up, and shipped it back. Told the gear site, I'm willing to give it one more shot because there are 17 reviews on this amp on their site, and 16 of them are happy customers...but the 1 bad review had the same problem as my first amp (FX display out). But also informed them that 3 strikes and I'll be done with it.

Waiting on Amp #3 as we speak...return was processed Friday 13th., so with the Holiday should ship out Tuesday 17th. and I'll have it by Thursday 19th....that'll be nearly a full month I've been dealing with this amp.

This is a recently released amp by Acoustic...so maybe all the issues haven't been worked out on it---but then again, where are these favorable reviews coming from? SOMEBODY is getting a good one obviously.

I chose the A1000 because of its' 4 inputs and 2 outputs...shopped all over the net, and can't find one other acoustic/electric amp from any other manufacturer that offers as much, so I DEFFENENTLY want THIS amp...but everything needs to work properly, or the thing is worthless in my eyes.

Once amp #3 shows up, I will let you guys know what happens. I'm so ticked about this, that I'm not even sure what I'll be getting if I have to send this one back. The Fender Acoustasonic 150 is the same price, and has been "proven", so it's deffenently an option---but I want the 4 inputs and 2 outputs for a reason, and it doesn't offer them. I might be completely over it by that point, and just run the guitar straight through an Interface directly into my PA and out the monitors; and either get my money back, or replace my purchase with a Fender Super-Champ X2 head and matching 1x12 Cabinet (which would add up to the same cost), for my electrics.

Last time I had to deal with a newly offered amp with issues, was the Fender Frontman 65R---which kept over heating before Fender pulled them off the shelves, and discontinued it. Yes...I was part of how it was brought to Fender's attention that the amp was having issues. Went through 2 of them in a weeks time.

Wish me luck on #3...or Acoustic WILL be hearing about this failure in their line as well.
