I just bought a Squier jazz bass second hand.
It's not a VM, CV or an Affinity.
Supposed to be a "classic" Squier, 5-6 years old, from before the three series I know, was introduced.

Can anyone inform my more about this bass?

The pickups have been modified with AndyK pickups

I'm pretty sure the Indonesian made Squires are manufactured by Cort, but I can't help you with the series name. Looks nice. How does it sound & play? What amp did you finally get?

It is a "SQUIER STANDARD JAZZ BASS." Standards have better body and neck wood, better hardware, better finishing and way better pickups than the Affinity series of the day and cost about 50% more than an Affinity cost. Even the headstock decal is nicer. Agree this one was made by Cort because it has an IC serial where I stands for Indonesia and C stands for Cort. After that the 04 in the serial makes it a 2004 model. The original pickups were the best you could get on a Squier Jazz at the time. Squier Standards made by Cort came close to the quality of a Fender branded MIM or CIJ Jazz and in fact I think the pickups on the Cort made Standards are actually better than the CIJ ones. Very respectable Squier Jazzes. Corts are usually better basses than ones made by the other contractors Squier used for their lesser models. Affinity models sold way more units because they were so much cheaper, so finding a Standard series one is not as easy as finding an Affinity but it is worth the effort to seek out one instead of an Affinity. In spite of the fact they are actually fairly decent basses they sell used for very affordable prices like most Squiers do and frequently for less than they actually are worth. If you can't afford or find a USA Squier (super scarce) or a Japan Squier (getting scarce) then the Indonesian IC series Standards are to me very desirable.

Hi linnin.
It's not the first Squier I've had, but this one is a keeper.
Plays very well, and the tone is wonderful.
Never really got that Rumble 500 combo we talked about, I one of those weird guys that never can get enough gear. I have TC Electronic, Gallien Krueger, Hartke, Warwick and EBS.
I didn't find a shop where I could try the Fender 500 combo, so I drifted over to the EBS-sound, that I really like.
EBS is rolling out some new stuff this summer, so I'll be on the lookout for that.

I was out for a gig this weekend. I took the Squier with me, along with a Fender P-bass. I ended up playing most of the night on the Squier :D
