I have so many mixed emotions about this bass...

It seemed set up well when it arrived. However, it didn't play well and didn't sound quite right. After a truss rod adjustment, string height adjustment, and new strings it finally played like I was hoping! That's the good news.

The jazz bass tone that we've come to expect made me smile and want to am for hours.

Now for the bad news... the slap switch is completely unusable. I wish there were an adjustment feature in the back... but there's not. When I flip the slap switch, I either have to noodle with the tone controls on the bass or on the amp. It's far easier to either make the adjustment on the ton controls than to just use the slap switch, which is a big disappointment!

I may end up taking it to my tech and having him change it to an active/passive switch.

I'll gladly answer any questions anyone has...

I spoke with my guitar tech... made the appointment for Wednesday to see if we can convert the bass from having a slap switch to an active passive switch without any other issues.

I'll report back on the change.
