looking to do a fretless conversion on a vintage modified PJ Precision ( as a less expensive alternative to a Tony Franklin Sig.)
Has anyone done one of these? Will I need to do any other mods (not including the Pup selector switch)? like a high mass bridge, better tuners, etc?

any help would be greatly appreciated...

It is a chore. I wouldn't change the electronics or any hardware. I honestly think the best thing to do would be to trade it for a fretless, unless you just want the experience.

Pull the frets, sand a little fill the fret slots with marine epoxy. Then epoxy the entire board flush. It's a long involved labor intensive process. I'm not a big fan of high mass bridges personally. Neck work is never "fun" for me. That is the sort of thing I pay someone else to do because I don't have the time, patience or tools for it.

Honestly I think it can be de-fretted, but I think you'll wish you had just gotten a fretless in the first place.
