I have a new Squier precision bass 50, when I look in the trust rod adjustment slot I don't see a nut. It's look like some unfinished factory job (no nut, no tread, just bare metal). The setup of the bass is good for now but if I put flatwound on it the bow of the neck will change.

Sure there is a nut , some scrap of wood on the nut ?

Is it a new bass or a second hand ? Second hand ; somebody mess the nut ?

Any close up ? Do have any experience on truss rod adjustment ?

it may be too deep to see. it is probably metric. try a 4.5mm hex key first. go from there smaller then larger until you find one that grabs. Once you find one that grabs, relieve pressure from the strings before turning it and start counter-clockwise. It may be nearly maxed out.
