I own a left-handed American Standard Jazz Bass, and I need a cheap practice/backup instrument. I wanted to try a Precision bass, but definitely not an expensive one as I've already mentioned. I was looking all over the internet and a couldn't find a Squier Standard Precision Bass. Could you help me with an advice?

There is not a Squier Standard P-Bass listed as a current Squier product in either left or right handed models. The Affinity line doesn't show a left handed model either.

In the current entire Squier bass lineup there are two left handed Squier Jazzes shown, but no left handled Squier Precisions at all.

The two lefties are the Vintage Modified Jazz Bass 70's model and the Vintage Modified Jazz Bass model. USA street pricing is $330 up and $300 up respectively.

Try the secondary market for a used one. You should be able to find a Fender used left handed Standard P-Bass or Standard Jazz for $300 to $400 but it won't be a fast find. I'd go there instead of the Squier. I think you'd be happier long term. There just aren't a lot of left handed economy P-Basses.

If you need a backup quickly until you luck into a used Fender leftie P-Bass, you might go with something temporary from an off brand like Rogue who makes cheap lefties for about $120. Also Dean makes a $150 leftie. Ibanez makes the GSR200 in leftie (GSR200L) for around $200 to $250. All of those are in the "Till something better comes along" category. They are not exactly prestige instruments but better than no backup. The Ibanez GSR200L would be the better of the super cheap lefties and it is a P/J so you could at least get something like a P tone. They sound bigger than they look and are active. It is a shame you can't get the Squier P/J Jaguar Bass in left handed models because that stomps the Ibanez for about the same money in right handed versions.

Thank you so much. I realy was thinking about a used Fender P-Bass but I couldn't find it for that price. And there is a problem that I'm not from USA and there might be a shipping problem. Anyway thanks a lot!

Not being in North America might open up the Fender Japan left handed basses to you though.
