Hi All,
I've had this P Bass since 1995, the serial number YN633901 and Made in China are stamped on the plate. I'm just curious to the build spec's of it? The neck profile is much "flatter" than my more recent purchases. It plays well and sounds raw and punchy, that could be just be me being sentimental though. All and any help most appreciated.

Y=Yako plant in Taiwan.
N= 90's
6 = 6th year of the 90's, which is 1996.

If you really bought this in 95 someone put it in a time machine and sent it back a year.

No idea on specs or how to get them other than to contact FMIC Consumer Relations with your model and serial.

Ha! I've put on my specs and re-read the 50th anniversary sticker and yep, 1996. In my defense I bought it whilst married and the dark days all sorta rolled into one.
Thank you for the information, really appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

Speak soon

Liam

You could download and carefully cutout the radius gauges to figure out the neck radius. You'd have to pull the strings though. The gauges to print out are here under the listing titled NECK RADIUS TOOL: http://brotherdave.com/add_maint.htm

And you may not just be "sentimental" as I find cheap basses that sound good now and then. It is sort of a crapshoot though.
